I took on the role of numeracy co-ordinator in September. Should I get paid for this?
This depends on whether it is extra work. Assuming you teach full-time and have had no responsibilities taken away, you will need time to do the job.
If that is your time, you should be paid. However, if you were an NQT last year, it could be considered that the time spent on induction activities is available this year for you to take on some responsibility. At present, management allowances are only temporary while the Government devises a new system. Ask for an allowance, especially if the literacy co-ordinator has one and your duties are the same.
