Aerosols first appeared in Norway in 1929. Now we use them for everything from killing fleas to helping asthmatics breathe. Three posters from the British Aerosols Manufacturers’ Association clarify matters for pupils over the age of nine. One explains their history and their world-wide spread.
Another shows the inner workings, from dip tube via gaskets to actuator.
The third uses circus performers to explore some essential scientific concepts. An elephant and a stiletto-clad trainer illustrate the relation between pressure, force and area.
