Pupils are taught to understand that supporting one another, regardless of age, gender or background, is an important aspect of life.
Teachers aim to deliver a curriculum that is relevant, exciting and provides children with meaningful learning opportunities. The school believes in a themed approach to curriculum learning, which means each year group having a clear theme and making connections between subjects.
Ofsted report
“Leaders make sure that there is concerted effort by all to improve the quality of teaching, pupils’ achievement and their personal development. Senior and middle leaders monitor their areas of responsibility regularly. They use this information to implement a range of strategies to boost the progress of pupils who are at risk of underachieving. Work with other schools to secure accuracy of assessments, supported by standardised tests, means that leaders and teachers know how well different groups and individual pupils are achieving.”
