About English Schools Foundation
The English Schools Foundation (ESF) (www.esf.edu.hk) was established by the Hong Kong Government in 1967 and is the largest education foundation in Asia offering a liberal education through the medium of the English language to children of school age.
ESF currently operates five secondary schools, nine primary schools and a school for students with special educational needs across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories. Two "all-through" Private Independent Schools (PIS) and five kindergartens are operated by ESF's affiliated company, ESF Educational Services Ltd. (www.esf.org.hk), which also offers English language classes and sports activities. Our 18,000 students are drawn from over 75 nationalities. Increasingly, our schools are also the destination of choice for local families.
The curriculum, leading to the International Baccalaureate (IB), is adapted to Hong Kong and the Asia Pacific region. ESF's teachers are highly qualified, with experience of the UK, Australian and other international school systems. School facilities are safe, secure and of the highest standards. All schools offer a broad range of out-of-school activities in Hong Kong and overseas. ESF schools are strongly supported by thriving and dynamic parent-teacher associations.
We offer a range of teaching opportunities in our kindergartens, primary and secondary schools to start the new academic year especially in August every year.

Our Schools
All ESF schools are characterised by dedicated staff and a commitment to providing an excellent education through the medium of English. We believe in educating the whole child to achieve his or her maximum potential, both academically and in cultural and sporting activities.
At the same time, our schools have developed their own traditions and characteristics. Geographically dispersed, they also reflect the cultural diversity of Hong Kong.
