Kinabalu International School is a not-for-profit, parent owned school and is located in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia (Borneo) and has gained an excellent reputation for delivering a high quality education for nearly 50 years.
Kinabalu International School aims to provide an excellent British-style education in an international context, where the individual needs of children are met in a secure, stable and enjoyable environment. In doing so the school endeavours to:
- Challenge students to reach the highest possible academic standards
- Encourage all students to develop individual talents and abilities and to aspire to excellence, whether it be in the academic arena, creative or performing arts, or in sport
- Foster the development of social skills, appropriate behaviour, environmental awareness and positive learning habits for students to achieve their full potential as responsible world citizens.
Kota Kinabalu is the capital of the state of Sabah, Malaysia. The city is located on the northwest coast of Borneo facing the South China Sea. Kota Kinabalu is a major tourist destination and a popular gateway for travelers visiting Sabah and Borneo. There are many other tourist attractions in and around the city and the area is rich with incredible wildlife and natural beauty.
