On behalf of the staff, children and governors I would like to welcome you to the Kingswear Community Primary School website. Kingswear is a happy, caring, family school where children learn in a stimulating and nurturing environment. Our school is situated in the beautiful village of Kingswear within an active and supportive community.

​At Kingswear we believe that the journey through childhood should be happy, exciting, inspiring and should develop every child’s abilities to their full potential. We believe in nurturing each child’s talent and strengthening these skills to enable everyone to go into the world to make a difference.

​Our mission is to ensure that all children experience an inspiring curriculum, where they can all achieve to their highest potential and develop a lifelong love of learning. We celebrate the challenges, and successes of each individual child’s journey through our School.

At Kingswear we believe that our brains get stronger when we give ourselves permission to ‘fail’. We encourage a healthy attitude when we speak of our beautiful ‘oops’ moments; those times when we make a mistake and use them as an opportunity to learn and grow. ​At Kingswear our wonderful team of dedicated staff will go above and beyond to ensure your child has an amazing educational experience. We believe in high quality learning, within and beyond the classroom. We utilise our beautiful location by having weekly outdoor enrichment sessions in a dedicated and safe forest environment.

​Our school is a safe and caring place, where all successes are rewarded, all individuals are valued, and strong, friendly partnerships are promoted between home, school and the local community. We believe in a warm, personal touch so all parents / carers are sincerely welcomed to discuss any queries you may have with staff, governors or other parents.

​As a member of Education South West, we are able to draw on additional support and facilities from other schools within the Academy.
