Values and vision
The Nelson Thomlinson School wants all students to achieve academic excellence in a caring and nurturing learning environment. It works at maintaining strong relationships with parents and pupils and believes that in order to succeed, a three-way partnership needs to exist. The school has the motto: Fide et Operis, translating from Latin to Faith and Works. Ofsted’s most recent visit in October 2023 highlighted our strong traditions and a school where pupils (and staff) are proud to live out it’s values. NTS also has a dedicated Professional Development department where opportunities for staff development and training are made a priority.
