Job overview

We are looking for a Art and 3D Design Technician. This is an exciting opportunity to join GLT / Brakenhale School and become an integral member of the Art and 3D Design team. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated professional to assist with design and technology in the classroom. This is a non-teaching role. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Creative Arts. In this job you will be working within a team to support the smooth running of the school behind the scenes. The ideal candidate will be an experienced technician with excellent organisational skills, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

Main responsibilities:

  • Setting up and clearing away of resources and equipment for lessons
  • Support with both practical and structured activities on a one-to-one basis or in groups
  • Support with the aim to promote disruption-free learning across the school
  • Safely and securely store equipment

You will need:

  • Studied to a minimum standard of GCSE (grade A*- C / 9-4) or equivalent in English and Maths
  • NVQ 2 or equivalent experience in Creative Arts department
  • Knowledge of Creative Arts department subject
  • Awareness of health and safety guidelines
