The Lakes School seeks a caring and hardworking candidate to join our administrative support team with specific duties that would cover the management of lettings, dealing with First Aid administrative matters including liaising with parents and medical professionals and supporting students with medical conditions and organising immunisation clinics, providing reprographics support during exam times, and also general administrative duties. A First Aid qualification would be advantageous although full training could be available to a successful candidate. Knowledge of the management of First Aid with children, medication and health care plans is desirable.

Experience of working in a school setting is desirable but not essential and full training will be given by the outgoing member of staff prior to commencement of the role. We are a supportive team of staff who work hard to care for each other and our students.

We are a high achieving, fully comprehensive school; a dynamic and innovative centre at the heart of the Lake District where all pupils are encouraged to be inspired, feel challenged, become empowered. The Lakes School was graded good in all areas by OFSTED in November 2019.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our young people. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS and health check along with two satisfactory references and a six month probation period. Applications will only be considered when submitted on a fully completed school application form. All applicants will be considered on the basis of their suitability for the post regardless of age, sex, race or disability.

Application forms are available via the school website (https://thelakesschool.com/the-lakes-school-cumbria/vacancies/) or alternatively from Mrs Croft, Headteacher’s PA, by emailing employment@lakes.cumbria.sch.uk. Please refer to our website for further recruitment information.

Early application is encouraged; this advert will remain open until a suitable candidate is found to fill the role.
