The Role of the Assistant Head of School
As the Assistant Head of School, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the school’s strategic vision and operational success. This includes:
Leading on data management to monitor and improve student performance.
Developing and implementing the Self-Evaluation Form (SEF) and the School Development Plan (SDP).
Overseeing the school’s pastoral care program to ensure the well-being of all students.
Supporting and mentoring staff to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
Teaching a designated class while having allocated off-timetable time to fulfil leadership responsibilities.
Assisting the Principal with additional duties and responsibilities as required.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a leader who can demonstrate:
- A proven track record of impactful leadership in a school setting.
- A strong understanding of data analysis to drive school improvement.
- Experience in creating and implementing effective SEFs and SDPs.
- A passion for pastoral care and the ability to foster a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with staff, students, and parents.
- Confidence in using technology to enhance leadership and administration.
- A commitment to the ethos and values of Al Rabeeh School, including respect for cultural diversity.
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered, you must have:
A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, BEd, or equivalent) and at least two years of leadership experience.
Demonstrated experience with UK education standards and frameworks.
The ability to effectively teach and lead within a diverse and multicultural school community.
