Job overview
We are looking for an ambitious, charismatic leader to join our campus based in Wallington. We are a therapeutic school, delivering a trauma informed model to pupils aged 5-16 years of age. We are looking for a leader who has the ability to manage and develop our KS3 and KS4 qualifications, such as exams, curriculum, assessment, day to day running's and new developments.
The ideal candidate should have a passion for working with pupils with additional needs and will have an understanding of behavioural management. Our model supports leaders to work hand in hand with staff to ensure staff wellbeing and management is accountable but compassionate.
We have a well formed leadership team who have successfully driven several Ofsted inspections and accreditations and are looking for a new leader to bring a new skill set and enhance our school, we welcome onboard ambitious candidates.
Our model ensures we have trauma informed practitioners who support teachers and leaders throughout the day to ensure that the school is a safe, calm and outstanding school to attend. Merrywood is described as a flag ship for delivering an academic, therapeutic and safe school where pupils flourish. We have won several awards including the SEND School (2024), finalist to the Independent School Association School of the Year 2024 and accredited by Trauma Informed Schools and have a valid UNICEF and Science accreditation.
This role will include some teaching alongside leadership post and will be recruiting two Assistant Principals to ensure KS3 and KS4 has a the strength to grow from strength to strength and allow you to work hand in hand with a colleague for ambitious results.
You will receive a high level of CPD and career progression, including NPQ funding and Trauma Informed Practitioner Diploma over a period of time.
