Job overview

The successful candidate will work to ensure the security of the school’s buildings, movement of furniture and equipment, and the maintenance and upkeeping of buildings’ minor repairs. Knowledge of general maintenance skills and understanding of creating a safe environment is desirable.

 

The post is full time (52 Weeks per year), 36 hours and 15 minutes per week 10.450am– 6.30pm plus alarm call-outs. The candidate must also be able to cover the hours of 6.00am to 10.45am to cover annual leave during the School holidays and absences all year round.

Holiday Entitlement is 25 Days excluding bank holidays (50% of the annual leave entitlement can be taken during term time)

Avon House is a lively, independent, co-educational day school of around 275 pupils aged 3 to 11, situated in Woodford Green on the Essex/East London border.
