Casual Invigilator (Access Arrangements Facilitator)

The Role

Are you a calm and authoritative individual who is reliable and punctual? We are seeking to appoint multiple Invigilators to support with the facilitation of exams access arrangements in examinations/assessments throughout the year. This is a key role in providing equal opportunities for all students sitting examinations.

The successful candidate will be part of a team of Invigilators reporting to the Exams Officer. They will work 1:1 with students during exams, acting as scribe, reader or prompt (full training will be provided). The successful candidate will also support with the set up of the exam room and may act as an invigilator in any exams where required.

This is an interesting and rewarding role where the successful candidate will play a direct role in supporting students through the exams process.

The Academy

Ormiston Bushfield Academy is a good school (OFSTED – December 2019), conveniently located close to the Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire & Lincolnshire borders, and benefits from excellent road and rail links.

The Academy is continuing to expand and due to its popularity and increasing student numbers, a new £6 million wing was opened in September 2018.  This extension is an addition to the £20.6 million state-of-the-art building that was completed September 2012, giving every student the opportunity to learn in an exciting and inspiring environment at an Academy that has been recognised for its high standards of inclusion. The Academy has continued to build on the successes of the last few years and achieved strong results at GCSE & A-Level in the summer.
