Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Child Protection, Safeguarding & Wellbeing Support Officer to join EAP in Ealing. The role will support the safeguarding of our students by working closely with the DSLs and wider safeguarding team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safeguarding Support: Assist the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), Deputy DSL, APST and SENDCO in daily safeguarding activities, ensuring concerns are promptly addressed. Supporting the DSL with all aspects of record keeping and information sharing with other professionals and external agencies.
  • Multi-agency Collaboration: Work with external agencies to ensure the safeguarding and protection of some of Ealing’s' most challenging and hard-to-reach children.
  • Inclusion & SEND Support: Provide day-to-day management of students with additional learning needs, social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, in collaboration with the SENDco
  • Attendance & Punctuality Support: Working with the Attendance Officer to monitor and improve daily student attendance and punctuality by liaising with parents/carers and removing barriers to school attendance.
  • Student Advocacy: Support students with behaviour, wellbeing, and learning both in and out of school, helping to improve their academic and social progress.


Full time (35 hours) Term Time only - 40 weeks, salary pro-rated already to reflect this

Ealing Alternative Provision (EAP) has a purpose built site that delivers high quality bespoke provision in a non-standard setting for pupils out of mainstream school.

EAP’s main aim is to provide pupils with a challenging, motivational and supportive curriculum which allows them to get back on track and achieve their true potential. Their educational experience will provide them with the tools and skills which will support them to be successful in the future at post 16 and beyond and equip them to participate in further education, employment or training.

We have free on-site parking for staff.
