Moorside Community Primary is seeking applicants who are passionate about inclusive education, committed to doing everything possible to support children, and ready to take on a new and exciting challenge.

By serving as our Children & Families Officer, you'll be instrumental to shaping an inclusive culture at our school and enhancing the educational experience for our pupils.

You will assist in the creation of a learning environment that supports high expectations. You will lead the Inclusion team, contributing to the team's effectiveness while ensuring pupil learning and achievement needs are met. Using the school's vision and values as a model, you will receive and act on feedback to build on your strengths and improve performance. Taking the lead on all aspects of inclusion, you will communicate a clear purpose and vision to the inclusion team and wider school community. As an additional DSL in the school, you will support the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads (DDSLs).

  • Is tenacious and can assimilate information quickly
  • Holds high expectations of themselves and others
  • Knowledge of the Principles of Nurture and Trauma Informed Practice
  • Can lead and work collaboratively as part of a dynamic and driven team
  • Has a sound understanding of statutory policies relating to safeguarding
  • Has the knowledge and skills to work collaboratively with external agencies
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents
  • Has a commitment to developing their own knowledge and skills of safeguarding and child protection
