Salary information: Band 8, £67,582 - £80,021 per annum (dependent upon experience)

Further salary information: The salary is equivalent to a NHS Band 8, £68,525 - £81,138 per annum.

Work pattern: 36 hours per week, Term time + 5 training days + 4 weeks during the school holidays (43 weeks)

Band 8 Speech and Language Therapist, required to lead a multi-disciplinary team at Meadow High School Royal Lane, in Uxbridge and Meadow High School Northwood Road in Harefield. 

We are looking to recruit a motivated, enthusiastic, dynamic, strategic and forward thinking Clinical Specialist SaLT, who has experience of working with children and adolescents with special educational needs to lead our Therapy team and sit on the Senior Leadership of the school. The successful candidate will be leading and developing an established Therapy Team, within an SEN secondary school OFSTED rated as Good. You will be working with students aged 11-19 years who have a wide variety of conditions including autistic spectrum disorder, global developmental delay, respiratory, neurological and neuromuscular pathologies. 

We passionately believe that therapies are a vital part of school life and not only help our pupils access their education, but also support pupils achieve as much independence as possible within their daily life. The Therapy Team is responsible for integrating clinical intervention across all aspects of the educational curriculum ensuring that pupils are able to readily access and engage in learning. 

This is an opportunity to join and lead a multidisciplinary team through a time of growth and development in the school. The school is moving to a split site model in September 2025 and this post would support and oversee the clinical teams in both locations. This is an exciting challenge of building the service and supporting the incorporation of a new site. This post provides many exciting opportunities including assessment, group work, one to one therapy and class-based interventions, working in collaboration with teaching staff, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and rehabilitation assistants.
