Ideally you will have explicit experience of EYFS application, yet we also welcome applications from those who have wider prep school experience with younger years. This is a major post within the school and you should expect to play a part in the school’s on-going development.
Job Description
In co-teaching, the pair are encouraged to co-plan and quickly incorporate the co-teaching strategies in their practice, providing more opportunities for the children to engage with both adults in the classroom. The mentor teacher remains engaged, using the strategies to support children learning and engagement. The co-teaching pair collaborates throughout the experience, with leadership in responsibility and decision-making shifting over time to the teacher candidate. Job Responsibilities
-Co- Writes and delivers lesson plans which engage EFs skills to children that are engaging, and effective per children data.
-Implements classroom instruction that supports the social-emotional growth of children.
-Cultivates positive, collaborative relationships with families, and consistent communication with families.
-Assesses and evaluates children growth; action plans on class-wide, group-wide and individual basis in response to children data.
-Creates a classroom culture that develops in children core values and independent learning skills.
-Participate in an annual staff orientation and training.
-Support playgroup class and after school clubs.
