Al Khor International School is a 4 to 18, co-educational and non-selective international school. Owned by QatarEnergy-LNG, the world’s largest producer of liquefied natural gas, AKIS caters for the children of the company’s employees. We are one of the largest international schools in the Middle East with approximately 4,000 students across our British and CBSE curriculum schools. The school has exceptional facilities and is located in Al Khor Community, 40 minutes north of Qatar’s capital city Doha.

The opportunity:

We seek to appoint a qualified, experienced Communications Officer to develop the school’s online presence. The successful candidate will demonstrate creativity, initiative, and attention to detail. The role involves web and graphic design, producing content, and supporting the Communications and Events function to promote the school’s achievements across numerous platforms. Skills and qualities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Digital Communication, Marketing, Media production or any related field
• Minimum two years of professional experience in website content management, graphic design and content creation
• Experience in planning and executing events, ideally in an educational setting
• Advanced IT skills (Adobe Creative Suite/ Cloud, Squarespace, Microsoft Power Apps, Benchmark)
• Complies with brand guidelines while elevating design standards
• Excellent project management skills, organised and prioritises workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Develops and maintains an organised system of digital assets
• Native English and Arabic proficiency advantageous
• Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills; keeps abreast of industry best practices.
• Collaborative, energetic, and flexible with a positive outlook.
