About the Academy:
Outwood Academy Riverside, founded in September 2020 through the Free Schools Programme, implements the Riverside values program for all students at the start of every academic year.
The academy is dedicated to the wide variety of students who enrol, ensuring strong routines and top-notch pastoral care for all pupils.
Located at Russell Street, Middlesbrough, Outwood Academy Riverside is set to have a new school built on Pioneering Way close to Middlesbrough College. Additionally, a satellite site in Eston will open in October 2024 as the school continues to grow.
About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising students during short term teacher absences and assist in preparing the learning environment and the materials required. You will cover lessons of any subject using the cover work set by the teacher, set high expectations to motivate and challenge students whilst managing behaviour effectively and promoting a positive learning environment.
The successful candidate may also be responsible for organising the daily cover rota for absent staff and contacting teaching supply agencies to arrange supply staff. In periods where cover is not required you will support in the classroom as directed.
The post would ideally suit an individual considering a teaching career; we can offer support with teacher training through our dedicated training provider.
You must possess good communication and listening skills and ensure that respect and confidentiality is maintained at all times. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and driven individual; you must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students.
Working pattern: 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday + 5 Term Time days
