THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate individual to lead the Science Learning Area to ensure the delivery of an outstanding Science curriculum. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of teaching and learning within the learning area, developing teaching practice, fostering student achievement, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Student engagement in Science at Huanui College is high, and the learning area is well-resourced. A strong emphasis is placed on discussion, research and the use of resources to stimulate independent thinking and prepare students to be future problem solvers.

Applicants should state their specialist area and their ability to support the delivery of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Marine Science and/or Psychology.
