Aldersley High School is a diverse, high successful 11-18 comprehensive school set in the north-east of Wolverhampton, near to the commuter link of Junction 2 of the M54. Aldersley has been judged as 'Good' in its most recent inspections in both 2018 and 2023 and has maintained a strong Progress 8 score and above average attainment throughout this period. We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to lead the provision of Food Technology at our school, a popular subject of real importance to our school community. The CTL will be responsible for the delivery, administration and development of the Food curriculum, and be accountable for student outcomes in Key Stages 3 and 4 as part of our wider Design Technology curriculum.

You will have experience of, or the aspiration towards, leading Food to a high level in a secondary school, with proven impact and a track record of excellent outcomes. You will be able to lead other motivated and talented practitioners to deliver fantastic results for our students, at the culmination of an exciting and inspirational Food journey in our school. You will manage our two Food teaching spaces effectively, and work closely with our dedicated Food technician to lead a highly effective department that delivers inspirational experiences for our young people.

Start Date: Easter 2025 or sooner
