Deputy Head

Leadership L10– L14 (£58,959 - £65,010)

Trinity Academy St Chad’s joined Trinity MAT in 2019 and since this time has been on an incredible journey.  In July 2023, Ofsted rated the school as good with outstanding features and this report reflects the unwavering dedication and hard work of our pupils, staff, and the entire school community.  Ofsted recognised the excellent quality of teaching, the remarkable progress made by our pupils, and the exceptional support provided to learners of all abilities.

Like all the schools within Trinity MAT, we are guided by the Trust’s four core principles:

Empathy – Honesty – Respect – Responsibility

We are now seeking to expand our senior leadership team and wish to appoint a Deputy Head to support our inspirational Principal.  As Deputy Head you will:

  • Strategically lead the direction and development of the academy in accordance with the ethos and vision of the sponsors.
  • Deputise for the Principal, when necessary
  • Monitor, evaluate and review outcomes in relation to pupil progress
  • Support the creation and implementation of the academy improvement plan and take sole responsibility for appropriately delegated aspects of it
  • Support all staff in achieving the priorities and targets which the academy sets for itself, and to provide them with support and guidance in implementing schemes of work
  • Support the evaluation of the effectiveness of the academy’s policies and developments
  • Provide professional leadership and management throughout the school
  • Strategically plan for improvement by contributing to the management and deployment of all financial and physical resources in the academy.

You must have experience of working as an Assistant Head / Principal within a primary setting and be passionate about improving children’s life chances through the provision of the highest quality of education.  You must have a strong work ethic, high expectations of yourself and others, and have the ability to lead and inspire staff and pupils in realising those expectations.

What can we offer you?

  • The opportunity to work with a progressive and forward thinking, Multi Academy Trust, where you are making the difference to the lives of hundreds of young people.
  • An outstanding professional development programme with opportunities for development and career progression.
  • The support of a dedicated team of leaders, both within the academy and across the wider trust.
  • A proven suite of school improvement strategies e.g. Behaviour for Learning (BfL), which ensures a calm and productive learning environment.

We are an ambitious and growing Trust which has eleven schools in total: six secondary schools, four primary schools and a post-16 college, spanning five local authorities.  This is an opportunity to join a high-impact leadership team, and experience cross-Trust working with members of staff from each of our academies and central support teams.

If you would like to visit the school please email recruitment@trinitymat.org and we will arrange a visit no later than Friday 18 October.
