We are looking to appoint a dynamic, and experienced leader who will drive enterprise and development strategy of the School through a collaborative style that will bring the best out of others.

Ruthin School has a strong academic record which is attained through teaching which challenges and supports in equal measure. The school is in a beautiful part of the country, set on the edge of the charming, historic town of Ruthin and at the foot of the Clwydian Range (an area of outstanding natural beauty). Whilst we enjoy a rural setting, we are only an hour from Manchester and Liverpool to the East and close to the coast and Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park to the West.

The Deputy Head is part of the Senior Leadership Team of Ruthin School. The purpose of the role is to lead, manage and develop the provision of all aspects of student welfare and pastoral care as well as playing a crucial role in whole-school strategy and development. The post holder must have the ability to manage boarding and pastoral care teams very effectively and possess excellent communication and administrative skills
