About Banstead Preparatory School

Banstead Prep School is a co-educational Prep school, Pre-school and Nursery, educating around 250 girls and boys aged 2-11. An inclusive and diverse school community, we are located on the outskirts of the village of Banstead, Surrey, with excellent transport links to London and the South East.

Our vision is to be a school that challenges, develops, and nurtures every child, where every child is free to be themselves. We constantly strive to change and to improve, to deliver a modern education that prepares our children for an exciting future, encouraging them to aim high and dream big.

We are ambitious about academic success, while ensuring that our children’s wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do, enabling them to be free to be themselves. We offer exceptional facilities, including a STEM centre, drama studio and expansive spaces for sports, featuring a full-sized astro pitch, netball courts, huge sports hall and indoor pool.

We are not a feeder for any senior schools, we work to help parents identify aspirational but realistic school choices and prepare the children within the normal school timetable so that every child leaves us for their senior school of choice feeling valued, prepared, confident and ready to thrive.

Our active and supportive parent community plays an integral role in our school, collaborating with us to raise funds for initiatives like new climbing frames and library enhancements.
