Crosfields School is seeking a talented and dynamic Digital Marketing Coordinator for a maternity cover position. This role is vital in driving the school's digital presence and ensuring the effective promotion and branding of our institution across various digital platforms. The ideal candidate will be a skilled digital marketer with exceptional video editing skills, adept at creating compelling content that resonates with our community and beyond.

This position is term-time plus 2 weeks.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design digital advertisements tailored to the platforms used by the school, ensuring alignment with our brand and audience engagement goals.
  • Forge and maintain partnerships with external providers to secure optimal performance and placement of our digital advertising.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Crosfields School, embodying and promoting our values and educational philosophy across all digital interactions.
  • Develop and execute content for the school's social media accounts, including reels, organic posts, stories, and updates, ensuring the consistent engagement of our audience during both term time and holidays.
  • Design and execute paid digital advertising campaigns across Google and Meta, continuously optimising for performance.
  • Organise and oversee videography and photography initiatives to enhance marketing efforts, including advanced video editing skills to create compelling visual content.
  • Effectively manage and curate photo and video assets, ensuring compliance with privacy policies and the diligent removal of DNU (Do Not Use) pupils.
  • Maintain the school’s Flickr account, ensuring it is refreshed on a weekly basis with high-quality imagery.
  • Capture ad hoc photos and videos around the school premises to enrich our social media content and engagement.
  • Deliver detailed analytics reports, focusing on organic growth, impact of paid activities, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Curate and distribute the half-termly newsletter, managing its content to ensure it aligns with our communication strategy and goals.
  • Maintain and periodically update the school's DNU list, ensuring privacy and compliance standards are met.
  • Develop an annual social media content plan, covering platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and any others where the school has a presence.
  • Monitor and analyse conversion activities for paid social media campaigns to maximise ROI.
  • Digitally promote school events using paid ads, ensuring broad and engaging coverage across our digital platforms.
  • Perform additional duties as appropriate or assigned by the Marketing Manager or Head, with a flexible approach to adapt to evolving marketing strategies and needs.

Crosfields School is a co-educational, independent day school for pupils aged 3 to 16. Located near Reading, Berkshire, it accommodates approximately 625 pupils.

Founded in 1957, the school is now run as a charitable trust under a single governing body.  In 2021 the school created two distinct areas, the Junior School which encompasses all year groups from Nursery to Year 6, and the Senior School for Years 7 to 11.  New for the 2021/22 academic year is a brand new Senior School building which provides an excellent setting for older students as the school extends to 16 and it will enjoy its first cohort of GCSE students in 2023.

Vision and values

First and foremost, the school aims to create an environment where every child is safe, happy and supported. It strives to offer a curriculum that is varied enough to allow every unique individual to discover their talents. Teachers encourage children to put in the effort and be resilient. They hope to give pupils the ability to be independent thinkers who challenge and enquire.

Numeracy and ICT skills are especially good at this school, along with reading.  Creative subjects such as design and technology and art are another focus. The curriculum as a whole gives pupils experience in linguistic, mathematical, scientific, technological and social areas, as well as physical education.  Extra-curricular activities range from golf and fencing to Forest School and chess.  School trips are also organised to broaden pupils’ horizons.
