We seek to appoint an exceptional Director of Sport who has a proven track record to lead the PE department which has a strong reputation. We are looking for someone with the drive, ideas and management experience to help maintain the high standards of the school.

PE is an extremely popular subject at Bishop Challoner, attracting high numbers at GCSE. The successful candidate will be innovative, as well as having the management skills to move Girls’ and Boys’ PE forward. We offer an inspiring curriculum that promotes core sports and skills. You will have the opportunity to teach a range of accredited courses such as AS/A2, GCSE, BTEC L2/3, JSLA and CSLA leadership awards, as well as an Elite athlete programme.

The PE department is extremely committed to providing a safe, relevant, enjoyable and all-inclusive curriculum. As a school we recognise the role that sport can play in the holistic development of a young person and the integral role this plays in society. The PE department provides a wide variety of sports, ensuring that pupils can pursue their sporting interests both inside and outside of school. In addition to providing an inclusive curriculum we are a school that actively encourages the pursuit of sporting excellence. We have a number of students and sports teams that compete at a regional and national level with our most successful sports being football, basketball and athletics.
