About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated DP IB English Teacher to join our vibrant international school community in Málaga. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English within the IB Diploma Programme (DP), fostering a rich learning environment that promotes critical thinking, creativity, and intellectual curiosity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach DP English courses, engaging students in both literature and language studies.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to a diverse student body.
- Develop and continuously update unit plans, ensuring alignment with IB standards and school objectives.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to create cohesive and comprehensive instructional strategies.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their academic goals.
- Encourage students to actively participate in their own learning and foster a classroom environment of respect and inquiry.
- Support students through the IB Core components, including the Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge, and CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service).
- Participate in school community activities, including extracurricular programs and events, contributing to the holistic development of students.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field; Master’s degree.
- Valid teaching certification in Spain.
- Experience teaching DP IB English or a similar curriculum in an international school setting.
- Strong understanding of the IB philosophy and framework.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
