We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced EAL Teacher to join our dedicated learning support team at the start of the academic year 2024-2025.

Job Description:

As the EAL Teacher you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive EAL program that meets the diverse needs of our students. The successful candidate will work closely with other teachers and staff to support the academic and social integration of EAL students.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Develop and deliver engaging EAL lessons tailored to students' varying levels of English proficiency.

·        Assess students’ language abilities and progress through formal and informal assessments.

·        Provide individualized support and intervention to assist students in their language development.

·        Monitor and report on students' progress, providing feedback to students, parents, and staff.

·        Stay updated with the latest EAL teaching methodologies and participate in professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

·        TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a related field

·        TEFL/TESOL certification or equivalent.

·        Strong understanding of language acquisition theories and best practices in EAL instruction.

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·        Ability to work collaboratively

·        Proficiency in using technology to enhance language instruction.

We welcomed our new Headmaster, Mr Rob Stewart to the school in September 2022. He has an outstanding track record including being a past Eton Housemaster before his first headship of a leading Prep School.
