Job Title:                   Preschool Practitioner

Work pattern:           Full Time 8.30-4.30pm (Term Time Only)

Preschool Address:   345 Springfield Preschool, The Grove, Alexandra Palace N10

Responsible to:          Preschool Manager

345 Springfield Preschool, nestled in the picturesque surroundings of The Grove, Alexandra Palace, is looking for a passionate and dedicated Level 3 Childcare professional to join our friendly and dynamic team. This is a full-time position offering a wonderful opportunity to work in a beautiful and inspiring location where children’s development is at the heart of what we do.

Main Duties

• To assist with the planning of the curriculum in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• To help set up the playroom for the daily routine and to help tidy away at the end of the session.
• To act as a keyworker to a small group of children, planning activities and ensuring each child’s needs are recognised and met.
• To have a sound knowledge of child development and understanding of how children learn, offering an appropriate level of support, stimulation and be able to extend and plan in the moment
• To advise the preschool manager/deputy manager of any concerns over children, parents or the safety of equipment, preserving confidentiality as necessary.
• To attend and participate in regular staff meetings.
• To attend mandatory and CPD training as required.
• To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the manager/deputy manager, in accordance with the preschool’s business plan/objectives.
• Being available to help with fundraising events.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

JOB TITLE: Preschool Practitioner

 PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

•  Early Years, NVQ Level III or equivalent.
• Previous experience of working within a setting with young children 2-4 years.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility and able to work on own initiative
• To be able to respect confidentiality at all times
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Passionate about children’s learning and development
• Computer literate

This post will require enhanced DBS.
