For the 2024-2025 academic year, the International French School of Amsterdam is looking to hire a Primary English Teacher who is interested in working in a dynamic and innovative school in a bilingual setting French/English.
Responsibilities:
As a Kindergarten / Primary homeroom English Teacher, you will have to:
· Support children’s learning by preparing engaging lessons that meet the requirements of the French curriculum in terms of milestones students need to reach at every age group. Those milestones are very similar to those of a UK/American curriculum.
· Collaborate with the French teacher of the classroom (our classrooms are all bilingual French and English)
· Develop positive relationships with all members of the school community
· Support children’s personal development and fulfilment
· Create a positive learning environment in your classroom
· Build positive relationships with families
Required skills: We are looking for teachers who have a real passion for teaching.
· Strong writing and speaking skills in English
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
· Ability to collaborate and exchange on curriculum and teaching practices
· Openness to new educational approaches
· Adaptable and flexible
· Strong sense of responsibility and care for kids
Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood or Childhood Education
- At least 2 years of experience teaching in a French or an International school with children between 3 and 10 years’ old
Contract type:
- Full-time contract
