The Role

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic team player to join the site staff for the Hamblin Trust on a fixed 12 month contract. The evening caretaker will ensure the regular and efficient maintenance for the school grounds and all the school playing field facilities. All of the role's responsibilities are to be performed in all schools within the Hamblin Trust - currently this covers Altrincham Grammar school for Boys and North Cestrian School. Key responsibilities are in the attached job description.

Job Purpose:

27.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, 2pm - 8pm plus overtime when required to cover in-house evening events. There may also be the opportunity for additional summer work. NJC pay scale 7 (£24,294 FTE) pro rata and dependant on experience

NB: there will be an expectation to cover evening events that fall within the working week and any weekend cover will be on a rota basis.

Altrincham Grammar School for Boys is an academy school based in Altrincham, Cheshire for boys aged 11-18.

The school was founded in 1912. Altrincham Grammar School for Boys is a multi-ethnic seven-form entry 11-18 selective Academy School. It caters for boys who have been selected for a grammar school education from a wide area of South Manchester and North Cheshire. The academic results are outstanding and they place the School in the top 20 maintained schools in the country. Our GCSE results are strong in respect of 9/8 grades and our ‘A’ level results in respect of A*/A/B grades. The 2022 Ofsted Report graded the School as ‘Outstanding in all area’.
