Job overview

The David Ross Education Trust is now recruiting for an Exams Officer who can join one of our Academy families at Bobby Moore Academy in the Queen Elizabeth Park.

One of the great goals for anyone working in Education is improving children’s outcomes. Nothing sums this up more than the exciting day each August when students have put their all into their studies and wanted to show their very best during their examinations. Collecting those results in August is a collective effort involving everyone in the academy, the students and their families and friends.

About the role

We are wanting to find someone who wants to take their MIS Support & Exams knowledge to the next level of responsibility across an all through Academy. Becoming part of the DRET family and having the wealth of support from the central IT & Data Team, we want someone to join us who will be vocal, challenge our thinking and ensure the exams processes and procedures are well run and managed.

You will want to be able to notice everything our students do well and celebrate them, acknowledging with them their achievements using warm language to make them feel excellent and to make them feel seen. We are looking for someone who is passionate and has a clear professional drive to improve the outcomes and life chances of each and every student they work alongside.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, self-motivated, customer focused and can work to a high level of accuracy to contribute to further enhancing the values and culture at our academies. We need someone who will rigorously follow all JCQ procedures and has a clear balance between organisation and creativity in our Exams and Data processes.

We want someone who wants to create efficiencies and drive improvement across a select number of Academies, working with those Exams Officers to make a difference to not only their ‘home’ Academy, but those across the network.

You will oversee the management of a school external and internal examination system. You will recruit, manage and lead on training examination invigilators.

This position is full-time and permanent (37 hours per week, working days Monday – Friday).

However, alternate working patterns such as term-time only working may be considered for the right candidate.
