Lime Trust is looking for two Executive Chefs to join our in house catering teams, in their regional hubs, one for both the London regional hub based in London Borough of Waltham Forest and Peterborough regional hub based in Orton Goldhay. 

Lime Trust consists of 8 schools, 4 special and 4 primary, in Cambridgeshire and North and East London.

We are looking for a dynamic and inspirational Executive Chef to work across four of the schools within the Peterborough hub. We are looking for somebody with a passion for quality produce and nutritional development to run our school kitchens within the hub. You will have the opportunity to transform our school lunch provision to provide fresh, tasty, exciting and nutritious food for our children, staff and school visitors.

You will be responsible for training and upskilling a small team of kitchen staff ensuring that meals are nutritionally balanced and in line with the Schools Nutritional Standards.

We are looking to appoint enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals who can demonstrate:

  • A Working knowledge of HACCP, and Health and Safety in a Catering environment
  • Experience of working within an education environment, though this is not essential
  • Good organisational ability
  • Excellent hygiene and health & safety practices
  • First class communication skills
  • Experience in preparing and serving food
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
  • Familiar with ordering, budgeting and accounts
  • An awareness of the Governments Healthy Eating Initiative
  • An awareness of Allergen Management.

The successful candidate will hold:

  • Level 3 Food Safety Certificate
  • NVQ 3 or equivalent in Catering and Hospitality
