Head of School

Broadoaks British School is seeking an exceptional and experienced educational leader to join our family community as the Head of School. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead our early years, primary, and secondary sections, shaping the educational journey of our diverse and vibrant student body.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and vision to ensure the continued academic and personal growth of our pupils

• Oversee the implementation of the national curriculum for England and Wales, iGCSE, and Cambridge checkpoints across all sections of the school

• Manage and develop a talented team of teaching and support staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment

• Engage with the school's board of governors to drive the school's development and ensure the highest standards of education

• Promote the school's ethos and values within the local community, strengthening partnerships and increasing the school's profile

Requirements:

• Proven track record of successful leadership experience in an international or British curriculum school

• Postgraduate qualification in Education or a related field

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with pupils, parents, and stakeholders

• Deep understanding of the national curriculum for England and Wales, iGCSE, and Cambridge checkpoints

• Commitment to inclusive and differentiated teaching practices to support the diverse needs of our pupils

Desirable Qualities:

• Experience in leading a multi-phase school, with a strong background in early years, primary, and secondary education

• Familiarity with the Nigerian system and the ability to navigate the local context

• We particularly encourage Nigerians who have gained valuable experience teaching overseas to apply for this role, as we are looking for candidates who can bring their knowledge and skills back to their country and make a difference in the education sector.
