Brief Job Overview:

As a Media and Film Studies Teacher at one of our secondary schools, you will have the unique opportunity to teach an innovative and dynamic media curriculum. You will also play a crucial role in continually growing and developing our curriculum, ensuring students receive a challenging and enriching learning experience. As students progress to year 12, they can pursue the IB Diploma Film course, which promotes independent and creative filmmaking underpinned by technical skills.

General Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Bachelor’s degree in any subject with a Postgraduate

Certificate/Diploma in Education (PGCE/PGDE) 

*iPGCE (assessment only) is not eligible for Teacher Registration status by the Hong Kong Education Bureau 

An understanding of the MYP and the key underpinnings of the curriculum frameworks is advantageous

Newly qualified teachers or teaching experience within a recognised educational institute

About English Schools Foundation

The English Schools Foundation (ESF) (www.esf.edu.hk) was established by the Hong Kong Government in 1967 and is the largest education foundation in Asia offering a liberal education through the medium of the English language to children of school age.

ESF currently operates five secondary schools, nine primary schools and a school for students with special educational needs across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories.
