West Hill Primary is a one-form entry school situated in the centre of Wandsworth, London with excellent transport links. We are currently recognised as a “Good” school by Ofsted (February 2024) and are on an exciting journey towards achieving our outstanding potential.

The Governors and Head teacher are seeking to appoint a practitioner who will provide inclusive play and learning opportunities for all children attending our Early Years and to maintain a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment.  

Core purpose of this role includes:  

● To provide a high standard of educational, physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children in THE EYFS

● To give support to other staff in the EYFS

● To implement the daily routines of the EYFS

Our ideal candidate must have:

• Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification

• GCSE grade ‘C’ or above in Maths and English

• Good understanding of the importance of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

• Knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage 

• Knowledge of child development 

• Knowledge of health and safety issues in Early Years

• Knowledge, understanding and commitment to equal opportunities 

• Ability to communicate effectively 

• Ability to work as part of a team and to work independently using own initiative

• The ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children
