Strand Primary Academy and Willow’s Academy are looking to appoint a Finance Officer to join their teams to cover maternity leave, the role would be to start at Strand Primary Academy as soon as possible on 30 hours per week, term time only plus 10 days to cover maternity leave, then move to Willow’s Academy on 37 hours per week, term time only plus 20 days, and cover their maternity leave until the post holder returns. Whilst we can’t confirm exactly, we anticipate that you would be based at Strand Primary Academy until November 2024, moving to Willow’s Academy until approximately November 2025. There may be some overlap between the two academies during November and December 2024.

Your new role

 

As the Finance Officer, you will support the Head of Academy through the provision of financial support and information. You will ensure the academy’s financial management is sound and procedures are adhered to with relevant reports submitted to the central Delta finance department in accordance with deadlines.

 

Salary: Grade F Points 14 to 19 (£27,334 to £29,777 Full Time Equivalent) subject to pro rata. The minimum actual pro rata salary per annum for this job at the Strand starts at £19,638.36 for 30 hours per week, term time only plus 10 days (40 weeks per year) and £25,431.60 when you move to Willow’s on 37 hours per week, term time only plus 20 days (42 weeks per year).

Strand Primary Academy is situated in the East Marsh area of Grimsby, less than an hour drive from Hull, Lincoln and Scunthorpe. We are a small, one form entry academy, educating children from the ages of 3 to 11 from the local area.
