FOOTBALL COACH
Fixed Term from January – March 2025
Dulwich College seeks to instil a culture of equity, respect and support for others, and offers inspired teaching, scholarship and learning in and beyond the classroom. A world-leading boys school with 1,900 pupils aged 7-18 years and a co-educational kindergarten and infants school of 230 (DUCKS), the College employs over 600 staff and enjoys a beautiful and historic site covering 70 acres in South London.
Football is the largest participation sport at Dulwich College, with notable successes in recent years. The College won the Independent Schools’ Football Association (ISFA) Cup at both U13 and U15 as well as the London Independent Schools’ Cup at 1st XI and 2nd XI. Each weekend the College regularly fields over 30 teams. A key focus of the role will be to support the development and progress of the higher teams. Additionally, with several pupils playing at academy and representative levels, a rewarding aspect of the role will be to nurture and enhance their skills and potential.
We seek to appoint a suitably qualified, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic football coach to offer support and lead across all areas of the College’s football programme. We are looking for a candidate who is committed to our extensive programme and can play a significant role in continuing the positive development of football at Dulwich. Previous playing or coaching experience along with qualifications would be beneficial as you would be expected to manage groups of children and work collaboratively with colleagues.
The successful candidate will be expected to lead regular training sessions during Games and co-curricular time and be available to take a team for Saturday fixtures.
The role is for one term from January until March. Hours of work will be 16 hours per week during term time plus Saturday fixtures.
Further information can be found in the candidate pack.

About Dulwich College
Dulwich College is an academically selective independent boys’ school in south east London with a tradition of inspired teaching, genuine scholarship and co- curricular breadth. We are a school committed to providing a wealth of opportunities to pupils and colleagues within a nurturing, equitable and caring ethos.
There are approximately 1,630 boys on the school roll, of whom some 130 are boarders. There is a strong history of diversity at the College, reflecting that of south east London generally, but also that we are committed to an expanding programme of means-tested access. Currently about 30% of pupils have such an award but we hope to increase this to 50% in the coming years.
Situated in 70 acres, yet only 12 minutes by train from central London, the College enjoys outstanding academic, co-curricular and sporting facilities, including The Laboratory, a RIBA National Award-winning Science and Arts building. There has also been an extensive refurbishment of its iconic Grade II* listed Barry Buildings and surrounding landscaping.
