Hurst Lodge School is a dynamic and inclusive independent school located in Yateley, Hampshire. We have a strong focus on the individual needs of our students, many of whom have special educational needs.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Forest School Leader to join our Forest School Team. The successful candidate will lead engaging outdoor learning sessions, using our forest and outdoor spaces to inspire curiosity, confidence, and hands-on learning.

This is a part time role - Monday and Tuesday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver Forest School sessions for our Senior School students, focusing on their holistic development.
  • Provide engaging and inclusive outdoor education experiences tailored to the needs of students with SEND.
  • Foster a love of nature and the outdoors through innovative activities and lessons.
  • Promote a safe, positive, and supportive environment during outdoor activities.
  • Ensure that all safety guidelines and risk assessments are adhered to.

Key Requirements:

  • Forest School Leader Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) is essential.
  • A passion for outdoor education and nature-based learning.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo checks).
