Why will you love their school?

There are lots of reasons! They're lucky to be based in a building with top class facilities. They serve a wonderfully diverse community - they are non-denominational, mixed gender and two fifths of their pupils receive pupil premium funding. They're led by their values - Aim High, Have Integrity, Be Kind and Model Determination and their team truly unite behind their vision. The curriculum is incredibly important to them and they're planned backwards from university readiness to give their pupils the very best in every subject discipline. They timetable collaborative planning and love to engage in ‘productive struggle’. Every team member is supported with coaching and tailored professional development, whatever stage they are at in their career. Their extended school day (they finish at 4 four days a week and earlier on Wednesday) allows them to offer a broad, rich curriculum and timetabled enrichment for every child - but they never have meetings after school. Their team say: ‘All staff are incredibly supportive and positive, and it is a great environment to work in’.

Benefits:

The Academy employees have benefits beyond the classroom including:

  • Teaching salaries that are 2.5% higher than main pay scale
  • Generous pension schemes
  • Twice as many training days as standard
  • Access to exclusive discounts and support – from gym reductions to discounts in over 3,000 retailers
  • Interest-free loans of up to £5,000 available for train season tickets or to buy a bicycle
  • Access to their Employee Assistance Programme, which provides free confidential counselling, legal advice and a range of different support.
