The School is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Gap Year Teaching Assistant to assist the PE department during the Spring and Summer Term. The general working hours for the role are 8:00am to 4:00pm. This a fixed-term contract expected to end by July 2025 and the employee for the role is paid at an hourly rate.
Francis Holland promotes active participation in both competitive and recreational sports. The School believes that developing the skills to lead a healthy active lifestyle is vitally important. The Sports department offer an extensive co-curricular programme. Some competitive sports include netball, football, cricket, gymnastics, swimming, dance and athletics. Pupils have the opportunity to develop their sporting talents in fixtures against other schools.
Most outdoor sports take place at Battersea Park, where there are superb facilities: extensive grass and all-weather pitches, seven all-weather netball courts and 19 all-weather tennis courts. The Millennium Arena at Battersea Park hosts the annual Sports Day, and we operate an efficient bus service to transfer pupils to and from various off-site facilities. Swimming lessons take place at the Queen Mother Sports Centre in areas of the pools set aside for the School’s exclusive use at that time.

Francis Holland, Sloane Square, is an independent, selective, Church of England school for girls aged 11-18 with Sixth Form situated in Belgravia. There are currently over 570 students on roll. The School was named Sunday Times Independent Secondary School of the Year 2023 and is in the top 13 independent schools nationally for GCSE and A Level results, and in the top 8 in London.
Francis Holland, Sloane Square was founded in 1881 by Reverend Canon Francis Holland. Three years later, the School moved to its current site on Graham Terrace, where it has since expanded to include a Junior School, the RIBA award-winning Centre for Creative Learning, a Centre for Creative Enterprise, and a transformational Sixth Form Centre, the Old School House, which increased the school site’s footprint by 15% in 2021 (909sqm). In September 2024, the Junior School relocated to a new location just off the King’s Road and became Francis Holland Preparatory School. The School is governed by the Francis Holland Schools Trust along with its sister school Francis Holland, Regent’s Park and Francis Holland Preparatory School.

The quality of the pupils’ academic and other achievements is excellent.
