Graduate Assistant, School Counselling
Intern School Counsellor
Workload: 100% - includes evening and weekend work, as required.
Start date: 01 August 2025
The position will suit candidates who are interested in teaching and enjoy the challenge of working with bright and inquisitive international students, aged 13 – 19 (grades 7 to 12).
Responsibilities:
- Assist our experienced Head of School Psychology in providing individual and group counseling sessions to support students' social and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with the Psychologists to develop and implement proactive wellness programs aimed at promoting emotional resilience and mental health.
- Support in crisis intervention and help address immediate concerns related to student behavior, relationships, or emotional challenges.
- Assist in organizing and delivering workshops or awareness sessions on topics such as stress management, conflict resolution, and healthy peer relationships.
- Provide administrative support for documenting student progress and maintaining confidential records.
- Act as a point of contact for students seeking emotional support, ensuring they feel heard and guided to appropriate resources.
