New City College is recruiting to an important post. The Group Director: Student Support plays a vital role in developing and supporting an exceptional learner journey of around 20,000 students each year, across the college's 10 campuses.  

With superb leadership skills and solid experience in a similar student support focused role, you will lead teams, resources and processes to provide highest quality careers education, information, advice & guidance; student welfare and financial support; mental health and counselling services. Your directorate also includes the crucial campus administrators across the college. 

 Naturally, you will have experience of managing teams and support services in a large, complex education organisation with responsibility for significant budgets and resources.

About New City College: NCC is the dynamic group of further education colleges in East London which comprises campuses across Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Redbridge, Epping Forest and Havering, and language schools in Oxford and Bournemouth. Our student body is about 50% 16-18 and 50% adult, with significant A Level, vocational, ESOL and SEND provision. Our 7-college merger places the group at the forefront of further education in the region. With a turnover of £130m, 30,000 students and 2000 staff it is one of the strongest and most influential further education organisations in the country.

What we offer

We provide education and training to young people aged from 14-18 years and to adult learners. This includes a large offering of 100+ courses at A-Levels to vocational in a range of subjects including business, IT, performing arts, graphic design, games design, social sciences, maths and science, health and social care, trade skills and catering, as well as pre-university entry courses such as Access to Higher Education and Higher National Certificates.
