Job overview
The Governors invite applications for a new Head to succeed Patricia Adams who, after seven years of exceptional and energetic service, has chosen to leave her headship position in August 2025.
St Mary’s sits at the heart of Gerrards Cross. It combines academic excellence with a dazzling choice of co-curricular and learning enrichment experiences, all against a backdrop of first-class pastoral support. The learning environment is warm and nurturing, combining innovation, collaboration and ambition.
Students leave St Mary’s to attend a wide range of courses, many at top universities and go on to pursue their ambitions, in whatever walk of life they may choose, as confident and caring young women.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced educational leader to build on the work Patricia has done and to lead St Mary’s to the next stage of its evolution as a continuing beacon for girls’ education in Buckinghamshire.
The ideal candidate will be a current Head, Deputy Head or Senior Leader who will embrace the values and ethos of St Mary’s and will be its best advocate and ambassador. They will recognise that there is no room for complacency in a highly competitive local market and they will have the strategic vision, drive and energy to contribute to building a legacy of which they can feel justifiably proud.
