Are you a passionate, dynamic, and experienced leader in boarding education? Would you like to shape the future of an exciting, growing Boarding School in a beautiful location in southern Spain?

Starting in August 2025, Sage College offers a unique opportunity to take on a key leadership role as Head of Boarding School. The successful candidate will be provided with a three-dorm apartment on campus, a permanent contract, and the opportunity to live on-site with their family in our welcoming campus community.

Founded on the values of respect, academic excellence, and an international mindset, Sage College provides the best British Education in a privileged location in the south of Spain. We are the only British International School in the region that follows the full British Curriculum from the age of 2 to 18.

Our comprehensive curriculum spans four stages, leading students seamlessly from primary through secondary and pre-university years. We offer both the British International Curriculum (Cambridge and Edexcel IGCSE, AS & A Level) and the Spanish Baccalaureate, providing students with pathways to universities worldwide, including Spanish institutions.

With around 450 day-students and 35 boarding students from over 20 nationalities, Sage College prides itself on a family-centred environment where students are encouraged to ask questions, be creative, and engage in hands-on learning. We focus on developing collaboration, communication, and critical thinking skills, preparing our students to become global citizens.

The Boarding School Programme at Sage College is designed for students aged 11-18 years old. Our boarding facilities offer all the comforts of home within a unique campus community. The program provides an enriching experience for students from across the globe, fostering personal growth, lifelong friendships, and a commitment to our core values: academic excellence, respect, and internationality.

💼 The Successful Applicant for the Role Will:

• Have proven experience in a leadership role within a boarding school or residential program in a UK or International School.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
• Be fluent in English and have experience working with international students, including those for whom English is not their first language.
• Be enthusiastic about creating a positive, safe, and supportive residential environment that promotes student well-being and academic success.
• Possess a deep understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
• Be adaptable, flexible, and motivated by challenges, with a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
• Hold an EU passport or valid Spanish work permit.
• Inspire and lead a diverse team of boarding staff and students.

🎯 The Role

As the Head of Boarding School, you will be responsible for overseeing the residential life of our boarding students, ensuring their well-being, safety, and personal development. You will manage the daily operations of the boarding facilities, implement residential policies, and foster a positive boarding experience that aligns with the ethos of Sage College.

You will work closely with the academic and pastoral teams to provide holistic support for students and will play a key role in the strategic growth and development of the boarding program. This role includes the opportunity to live on campus with your family, enhancing your connection to our community and providing a supportive environment for the role.

🔍 What Do We Look For?

• Proven leadership experience within a boarding school environment.
• A bachelor’s degree and relevant leadership qualification (e.g., Boarding Schools' Association Advanced Certificate).
• Experience with the British National Curriculum or Cambridge International program.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
• A student-centred approach with a commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive community.
