At KS3 students learn through a rich inquiry based curriculum developed in-house, at KS4 students take CIE IGCSEs, they opt to take either the Coordinated Science course or all three sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) as separate courses. At KS5 students take the IB programme choosing either one or two subjects at Standard or Higher Level, many elect to take two science subjects. Subjects include Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Environmental Systems and Societies. The Science department is a rich and rewarding place to work for creative, inspiring teachers.
The Head of Chemistry leads Chemistry provision at KS4 and KS5 under the overall department leadership of the Head of Science and works in conjunction with the Heads of Physics and Biology to deliver a broad-based KS3 curriculum full of practical opportunities.
