Job overview
Falcons School is looking to recruit a Head of EYFS who will also act as a Lead Practitioner. The role is full time and we are looking for someone to start in January 2025.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Protect and safeguard all children and to be responsible for the health and safety of everyone on the Nursery School and Reception premises;
- Ensure a highly attractive offering to children and parents including a strong focus on pupil achievement through the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Ensure children and parents are appreciated;
- Enable children to develop as well rounded individuals, who are caring, kind and considerate, as well as confident and independent;
- Secure the premium reputation of the nursery school and market it effectively to prospective parents;
- Oversee the EYFS budget, resources, and facilities to ensure they are used effectively and efficiently.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Experience of leadership in the Early Years
Up to date knowledge on best practice in safeguarding
Ability to plan and deliver outstanding, exciting and innovative lessons
Evidence of professional development
Excellent communication
Excellent and up to date subject knowledge
A commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people
Qualifications
A good degree
A teaching qualification and QTS
Qualities
