We’re looking to recruit a International Principal to join our NAS Nantong.

 

THE SCHOOL

 

NAS Nantong opens in September 2019 and provides a state of the art teaching and learning environment to up to 1728 students. The unique international learning experience at NAS Nantong will offer students aged 6 -18 years old the best of eastern and western education resources and philosophies. The bilingual curriculum will be based on the Jiangsu K-12 curriculum blended with globally respected international curriculum elements and teaching methods. Students will gain a solid foundation of Chinese culture, whilst equipping them with the knowledge and skills they will need to be successful in an increasingly globalised world. The school is located in Nantong Sutong area, the campus covers an area of 71 acres, which can accommodate 1728 students and 864 boarders; providing the perfect environment for a well-rounded education.

 

THE ROLE

We’ll look to you to lead and build a united team, driving the performance, culture and ethos of the school, delivering outstanding academic achievements of the students and high parent satisfaction whilst continuing to grow school enrolment and growth. Take overall responsibility for the organisation and management of the school in providing inspirational vision and leadership for teaching and learning; driving student enrolment to achieve targets through effective marketing of the school; day-to-day management, organisation and administration; attraction of talent, retention and effective management of staff.

 

ABOUT YOU

Leadership & Management:

  • Lead and manage the PE department, including oversight of PE staff and coordination of departmental activities.
  • Develop and implement the PE curriculum in both English and Mandarin, ensuring it meets international standards and aligns with the school’s bilingual approach.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide professional development opportunities for PE staff.

Curriculum Development & Instruction:

  • Design and deliver engaging and age-appropriate PE lessons that cater to diverse student needs and abilities.
  • Integrate bilingual elements into the PE curriculum to enhance students' language skills alongside physical development.
  • Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the PE program through regular assessment and feedback.

Student Development:

  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages students to participate actively in physical activities and sports.
  • Develop programs and initiatives to promote students' physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
  • Organize and oversee school sports events, competitions, and extracurricular activities.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with other departments, especially those involved in the bilingual aspects of the curriculum, to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, students, and staff about PE program goals, progress, and events.
  • Maintain positive relationships with external organizations and sports associations to enhance the school’s PE offerings.
