The Global College require an exceptional sports professional to lead and inspire within the sports and extracurricular program for the Whole School. With key sports of Football, Rugby, Volleyball, Fitness, Tennis and Padel this is an ideal opportunity for a professional sportsperson, or sports instructor, looking to move into education at one of the most forward thinking schools in Europe.

Duties and Responsibilities Overall responsibilities include:

This is a hands on role and we are after the principle sports coach for the college.

• Oversee and support high-quality programmes across the Whole School including the off-campus trips. This includes managing all coaches, planning and programming the activity schedule, timings, staffing and resources.
• Quality assure the ECA programme through observations, student and parent surveys and liaison with outside providers
• Have a clear overall strategy for both the development of sporting excellence and the participation of students of all abilities in sporting activities for enjoyment, health, competition and lifelong engagement
• To oversee the organization of school sports fixtures, organization of fixtures, and ensure appropriate staffing
• Keep up to date with local and international initiatives related to extra-curricular activities
• Support the membership of and application to local, national and international bodies where applicable
• Lead the planning, delivery and revision of ECA and events.

Useful Education, training and qualifications

• Experience of playing or coaching in multiple sports to a high level *preferably international
• Ability to work in English and Spanish
• Evidence of relevant and challenging continuing professional development
• Have the ability and willingness to inspire others; leading by example
• Be flexible and able to manage change
• Have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
