Malvern College Tokyo (MCT) opened its doors to pupils in August 2023 and has quickly grown to be one of the leading schools in the territory. With strong links to Malvern College, a leading independent school in Worcestershire, England, the School seeks to appoint an inspirational Head (Headmaster/Headmistress) from August 2025.

The Head is the lead of the school’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the School. The Head works closely with the Deputy Head, Head of Seniors, and Head of Prep to ensure the school’s strategic direction is aligned and that there is continuity and consistency across the whole school. Central to the role of Head is the leadership, management and guidance of teachers and school support staff who are collectively responsible for pupil learning and welfare in accordance with school policies.

The successful candidate must have the strategic vision, appreciation of the Malvern heritage, understanding of the IB PYP, MYP, and DP programmes, strong interpersonal and leadership skills and exceptional professionalism, to lead the continuing development and growth of Malvern College Tokyo as an outstanding British international school committed to capturing the Malvern ethos and vision.

Malvern College Tokyo opened in September 2023 as the newest member of the Malvern College Family of Schools. Malvern College Tokyo has already grown from an initial 150 pupils to almost 300 at the start of its second academic year. Currently accommodating pupils from Pre-Prep to Remover (Year 10), extending upwards to Year 13 by 2026, ultimately providing around 900 places for both Prep and Seniors. Malvern College, UK, and Malvern College International work in collaboration with the Babylon education group which already manages Malvern College Chengdu, Malvern College Hong Kong and Malvern College Pre-school Hong Kong within the Malvern College Family of Schools.
